Shortly before he died William composed an arrangement of the Ave Maria.
In December 2007 Ana Maria and I were invited to one of the Christmas in Vienna concerts performed by the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Karel Mark Chichon. Karel, a good friend of my brother William, is also from Gibraltar and has become one of the leading conductors in the world today. The concert featured the soprano Eteri Lamoris, the tenor Jose Cura, the baritone Paul A. Edelmann, the Vienna Boys Choir and the mezzo-soprano Elina Garanča who sang the Ave Maria.

In December 2009 William's Ave Maria was once again in the programme, this time at the request of the organisers.
