Walking from Gibraltar to "the end of the world" in memory of my brother William Gomez, classical guitarist and composer, who died of cancer in 2000
The Challenge
In 2007 I walked the River Thames Path, some 213 miles, in memory of William, raising a total of £11,500 for charities in the UK and Gibraltar. This year I am going to attempt to walk from Gibraltar to Finisterre, known in the old days as "the end of the world" a total of approximately 1500kms or just over 900 miles, accompanied by my wife Ana Maria. We hope to commence our walk on Saturday April 17th and complete it in June just in time to celebrate my 65th birthday!
